John Amoroso is a self taught musician that has been playing guitar for just over 12 years. He started out in Meriden, CT with open mics and a few shows a month with a conga player performing covers. Soon after that, he decided to go it alone and see what he could do for himself. 5 shows a month became 10 and then 10 became 20 or more and he soon found that he could support himself with his music.  So in 2002 he quit his job and started playing full time.

Since relocating to Atlanta, GA in Sept of 2005, he has built up his performance schedule without missing a beat. Now averaging 200 + shows a year he is doing what he loves and is in high demand. He performs covers (600 or so songs) from artists all over the spectrum and has completed his first original solo disc "Starting Over" which has sold 2000 copies in just under a year at shows alone.

With the use of live recorded guitar and vocal tracks his solo show sounds more like a duo or trio as he provides his own backing vocals, bass lines, lead guitar riffs and the occasional beat box.  It's a must see and hear experience that you don't want to miss. Come check him out and see why he is a true professional that keeps striving to meet higher ground with his music.

I'm from Nashville, Tenn., although most of my life has been spent here in wonderful Marietta, Ga., I guess being from Music City USA had an effect on me as a kid.  I started playing guitar at the tender age of 11 and that's when all the fun started.

I have played clubs, parties, and weddings, for the last 15 years in the Atlanta area.  I love all kinds of music.  I try to keep my performances interesting by mixing it up as much as possible doing covers from artists such as Van Morrison, Dave Matthews, Garth Brooks, Stevie Wonder, Coldplay, Jimmy Buffet, Skynard, Johnny Cash, James Taylor, U2, REM, Marvin Gaye, Billy Joel, The Stones, Eagles, Barenaked Ladies, Elvis, Doobie Brothers, Beatles, Grateful Dead, David Allen Coe, Yee Ha!!! You get the idea.

Come out and see me sometime but, please, please, as always, if you have any requests, keep it to yourself. Ha! Ha! Ha1
